Dr. Mark Bolton
Veterinarian
Dr. Bolton is the owner of Simcoe Veterinary Hospital. He was born and raised in Shanty Bay and attended Eastview High School in Barrie. He grew up with many of pets and spent a lot of time working on neighbouring farms. He enjoyed helping the animals and had hopes of becoming a surgeon.
Dr. Katrin Schmidt
Veterinarian
Dr. Katrin Schmidt is the hospital administrator and chief veterinary director of Simcoe Veterinary Hospital. She is in charge of making sure all team members understand their impact on the client and pet experience to ensure a better outcome for all. She has always had a passion for medicine, science, and technology.

Crystal
Veterinary Assistant
Crystal was born and raised in Orillia and currently lives in Ramara. She became a Veterinary Assistant because of a lifelong passion for helping people and their pets. Crystal enjoys all parts of the veterinary field, her favourite part is that there is never a dull moment! Each day brings something unique.
Daniella
Veterinary Assistant
Daniella is one of the newest additions to the Simcoe Veterinary Hospital team! She was born and raised in Midland and now shares her life with a dog named Danzig, a cat named Squid and 3 horses; Archie, Lego and Gator.
Emily
Registered Veterinary Technician
Emily was born and raised in Simcoe County. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Northern College in 2021 and joined the Simcoe Veterinary Hospital team very shortly after. Emily is Certified in Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation and offers massage therapy at the clinic to patients who would benefit!

Office Manager
Emily was born in Richmond Hill and moved to Barrie as a child. She attended Sheridan College for Visual and Creative Arts and then worked in the pet insurance industry until 2019 when she switched to veterinary medicine.
Jaycee
Groomer
Jaycee has been with Simcoe Veterinary Hospital since the summer of 2001, after completing the Animal Care Worker Program at Georgian College. She has also graduated with honors from Classy Clips Professional Grooming Academy and grooms at Simcoe every Tuesday through Friday (by appointment only).
Amanda
Receptionist
Amanda grew up in Orillia and moved to Barrie in 2008. She completed her Medical Office Administration course with Honors in 2010.
Right out of school Amanda jumped into the field of Veterinary Medicine working at a busy emergency clinic for many years.
