Andrea – Registered Veterinary Technician
Andie was born and raised in Calgary and has nurtured a close bond with animals all of her life. In 2017 she graduated as a Registered Veterinary Technician from Sheridan College with high honors. She has a keen interest in surgery and anesthesia specifically.
Andie has a special connection with special needs and senior pets and has actively rescued and palliated a number of animals in need throughout her career. Currently she shares her home with several cats and dogs, all of whom have their own quirks. There’s Arwyn, the “One-eared Warrior Cat”; Nergal, who has just 1 kidney after having had an emergency surgery upon rescue; Rocket, who is secretly very affectionate despite being semi-feral; Valkyrie, a kitten born with a cleft palate who is now able to eat and drink by herself after 2 restorative surgeries; Diesel, a paralyzed chihuahua who zooms around at the speed of light in his own set of wheels; and Jack, who is everyone’s favourite stray from West Virginia!
At home Andie is an avid reader of historical fiction, enjoys gardening and loves to paint miniatures.
